Default Question on Detailing...

Ok, ive waxed and washed my car numerous times. Now i want to do a full-detail, I recently purchased Mothers clay bar and Showtime detail spray, Meguires Scratch X for my swirl marks (car is black) and i have Gold Class Clear coat Wax.

My question is since i have never clayed or detailed a car to the full extent...what should be my steps in appying these products?

Thanks for the advice..

Wash, dry, clay bar following the directions, then ScratchX, then wax. Pretty easy, just takes a while.

It gets alot more detailed than that especially on a black car.

1. Wash/rinse
2. Start clay barrng the car. Tip use car soap as the lube. Its faster and its safer and you dont waste all that showtime.
3. Use a cleaner wax first and then the scratch X then a sealer/glaze/polish.
4. Wax. Microfiber towels and a orbital buffers work the best for step 3 and 4.
5. With a microfiber towel use that showtime and wipe down the hole car.

It should be. Polish brings out the shine and depth.

I hear the Adams products are the best I just ordered me a kit today. They have instructional videos on their site and the kits come with dvd's.
