Molded dashboard covers?
Molded dashboard covers? Anyone know if they make molded plastic dashboard covers for a 98. I got a 1.5 ft crack in the plastic part of the dash yesterday and it is killing me. I really do not want to have to buy a new dash but that might be the only way. TIA.

There is a company here in town actually named Coverlay Manufacturing that makes some for a small list of cars. I tried to get ahold of them to make one for the f-bodies a while back but never could get an answer from them. Might be something to look into though, maybe they have started making them by now.

I suggest making a dash pad out of some material like leather/pleather = no more cracking dashes and better looking than any fuzzy/furry dash pad available. If you find the right material, you'll hardly be able to tell its a dash pad cover at all.
I found the website for that company, it is coverlaymfg dot com. They Cavalier in the before and after pics is a guy I know on a local forum here and it looks factory in his car.
