Default VHT niteshade on 98-02 camaro headlights?

Is it possible to have VHT niteshade on 98-02 headlights? My buddy has a 99 camaro and kinda wants to do this but isn't sure. I'm worried about the niteshade paint bubbling, fading, cracking or stuff like that over a short amount of time. I know the paint can be put on because the outside of the headlight is plastic. Anyone tried this?

"whistler" mod will give a similar effect, last longer, and look better. IMO

better off just to get the blackout covers, then you can take off when tired of it..

+1 on the "whistler" mod. i had the blackouts for about 7 years and just recently did the whistler mod. i couldn't be happier with the results.

Forgot about the whistler mod. I tell him about that. However, I'm still kind of curious if the vht niteshade would last with the intense light and heat of the headlights.

I've used Nightshade in the past and have never had any problem with bubbling or cracking. It will fade over time, however, so you might need to reapply every 18 months or so - although that might be a good thing if you don't like the result. I would recommend against doing anything very dark, though... maybe stick with one relatively thin coat.
