thanks for the comments guys! snyper bob, awesome pics!! it was great to meet you guys yesterday! i got the stripes from a non sponser but its fairly well known around here, 3rdgendecals did them for me. the numbers in my sig are differant because the numbers in my sig are rated at the motor. and yes the engine bay has to be cleaned no doubt, i can't wait till the warrenty is over and then im moddin the hell out of it.

It was pretty much the bottom of the ground effects, and barely any rubbing

Hmm.... very nice clean car...except the engine, but mine's the same way. Those ram air hoods just keep the engine dusty.
Looks like you used the rwhp x 1.15 method to get your numbers. A lot of guys seem to think that the rwhp / 0.85 method is more accurate (since it is a solved algebraic equation using appropriate variables). With that method you would make 362.35 hp and 377.65 tq! Sounds even more impressive! Pretty good numbers for a stock car!
Hmm...that means I make... 425.88 hp and 405.88 tq!

so you calculate the hp your motor is making and thats the number you're advertising your car makes stock? Thats pretty misleading. While it may be true your car is making that much power to the engine, when people hear hp #'s, they generally expect RWhp/RWtq. Hearing an engine makes 350+ hp to the engine isn't impressive at all. Also not that impressive is 308/321 rwhp/rwtq... its average on a STOCK 01-02

Also....advertising your hp as flywheel hp is perfectly normal in the "real" world, that's what every car manufacturer does. It's only us gear heads hanging around forums like this one that expect wheel hp instead of flywheel hp. Most people won't even know that there is a difference between flywheel and wheel hp, and everyone assumes it's going to be engine hp. After all...people ask "What's under the hood, how much power does it make" not "What's it make to the rear wheels?"

Easy fella lol i'm not saying his car isn't stock. Just that those numbers coming from a stock car are expected and advertising dyno numbers from the flywheel makes about as much sense as a ricer racing from a roll.

Shhhh!! I blame my low numbers on the weather
Dansbird,
You kinda miss my point. All of us here understand that posting flywheel hp numbers (especially calculated ones, not ones from a engine dyno) is frowned upon.....well ok, you're right, he actually put them in his sig!
Booooo! Put the RWHP numbers in your sig
