Hmmm... Now I'm on the fence. I love the stripes, I think they came out great and are a great color combo on the NBM... BUT I think they are breaking the flow of my car now...

I'm really considering ordering a set of just solid black stripes and then putting new 346 emblems back on.

I LOVE to look at the stripes but I am starting to see a trend:

Berger Panel: Black and Chrome

Seats: Black and Chrome (or polished at least)

Gagues: Black and Chrome

Stripes: Black and Chrome AND SILVER

Hence the break of the flow... I think if a car is done right your eyes don't go straight to one spot and right now they do

Different rims and other mods and these stripes would work great, I just think my car has a racy theme going (flat black accents, light magenessium rims, etc...) and the stripes might be detracting from that with the outline...

I think the solid black stripe would look better or maybe the silver border around the stripe needs to be thinner.

However the reason I personally like the Sunoco hood so much is because it gets rid of that boxy look typical cowl hoods have. With the stripes though it gives it that square look again. Just my .02. Either way you car still looks great.

If you remember, that is EXACTLY why I took the stripes right back off of my hood.

Anymore pics? As I sit at the computer I am considering going with black stripes but then when I see the car in person the stripes I have really look amazing...

Definetly going to make myself wait untill after I get new headlights untill I decide if I am changing the stripes.

For your hood I would consider the following emblems:

COWL INDUCTION

346 (like mine, search on ebay for "number emblems" and you'll find plenty)

SLP (if you have SLP parts)

or, like the 346 style, a horsepower rating number...

I was thinking of putting 346ci the same color as the car but pulled that idea at the last min.for the COWL INDUCTION thats on both of my 81 camaro's(tired of see N that LoL)...I do have some slp but iam off the slp bandwagon ....
IMO.If you keep the same rims and then a thiner, darker silver pinstripe it wont be so eyecatchE ..Heres a few picks(Its been rainN for 3months hereN TX)need better picks.

and yes the bolts for the grille are painted now

no more crappy halo's

Damn man, it may have taken you a long time to get that hood painted, but wow!! It turned out absolutely amazing!! Nice choice on the stripes too, I love the white pin stripes surrounding the black part, and the emblems look great! The only bad part is that I want that damn hood even more now!

I'm not usually a fan of that hood, but DAMN your car looks badass. I love that it's not the "same old, same old." Great job!

I love the silver outline, it really makes it pop, but I don't think its in a bad way at all. I love the way it looks in the pictures, but if it is more subtle in person I don't think you need to change a thing.

Now that I've driven around more and seen the car in daylight (it is normally in an underground garage) I'm definetly keeping her as is

The outline color matches the wheels (when clean) PERECTLY and it also ties in my interior (Cobalts are Black outlined in Chrome as are my factory gauges) to my exterior...

I think all black would look good as well but this is different and I like it again !
