Default Alright, I'm tired of this... how should I mount my plate?

I got pulled over for the 3rd time in the last 6 times I've had the car out for no front plate. I don't even want to drive the damn thing anymore b/c of a**hole cops that do nothing but sit around and look for stuff wrong on my car. The exhaust is way too loud and draws more attention than I'd like so the least I can do is somehow mount my front plate without messing up the grill. There goes the clean look of my front end

Here's how it stands now...

What would be the best way to mount it without screwing anything up, but making sure it can be removed in the future? Obviously double-sided tape would work, but that could get messy with the frequency that I wash the car. Any ideas would be helpful.

If you search for posts by DrEvyl, he has this contraption that uses suction cups and sticks to the inside of the front windshield. Something to think about. Whether you'd get pulled over for that or not, I don't know.

Stick it between the windshield and dash.

No go on the windshield ideas, guys. That's where I have it now and I got pulled over the other day for it. Yayyyyy fairfax county laws!

I may try some sort of suction cup design for the front, but I'm not sure it would be strong enough...

Yea, I think I'll be going the bending route. But, what did you use to keep it there? Did you drill it?

unfortunately yes... but i cant really ever drive it with it off so oh well. The only way i think it could look cleaner is not having in there at all. Just get a nice frame and some caps to cover the screws

Woah that sucks, I always hear about people constantly getting pulled over but I've been driving my car for a year now with no front plate and I've never been messed with. knock on wood.

I did buy that SLP mount though when I first got the car, if it gets bad enough I might have to throw it on. Hopefully I wont have to because it looks like ****.

How much does the no front plate ticket cost by the way and what was your excuse to the cop if you dont mind me asking?

That sucks man... I'm glad I live in South Carolina, we don't have front plates, smog checks or even vehicle inspections stickers.

Yea, the thing is, I've been driving with no plate ever since I got the car (3 years ago) and it's only recently that this crap has started. I had my plate in the windshield and passed by the cop going the opposite way as he was camping out looking for traffic speeding on this one road. So, I saw him pull out behind me and such so I took it easy and pulled into the nearest neighborhood and stopped. He came up beside the car and asked where my plate was. I said some kids in my neighborhood think it's cute to keep ripping the plate off the front of my car so I have the bracket on order. He then proceeded to tell me that i def can't have it just mounted in the windshield and I told him ok and he just drove off. I'm quite lucky I didn't get a ticket, but I'm just really tired of being harassed about it when I have to drive like a damn grandma in this thing and even still get **** for it.
