changing te outer bexel wont effect the reading. its when you pop off the needles is where they could be off. your actually suppposed move the needles when installing them to 12 o clock . you can move them anyway you want as long as you dont pop them off.

one way to if you did mess up like on my first try on the 1 pc kit is to drive next to freind at what ever speed to do your speedo. have a full/ or empty tank off gas to match the needel. and the other ones make a stick drawing of your guages warmed up soo you know where to put them. or use a frends car.

do all this with the cluster installed when driving but without all the lens and other stuff to make it easier when you have to pop off the cluster

thats exactly what i had to do. i installed an overlay and took out the needles and had trouble puttin them back on. so i just did those methods and everything seems fine. and like motown said, dont worry about the needles unless u took them out.

I have this problem also. When the needle on the fuel gauge is on the first quarter, the "Check Gauges" light comes on. Basically, when I'm on empty, instead of the needle actually being on "E", it'll be on the first quarter marker. How do I fix this??

It's a Palm scanner that i bought when i had my GTP it works for the LS1 motor's AND L67(S/C 3800) motor's but will scan codes from all GM cars with OBDII.
LINK FOR YA http://ls1m.com/
If you don't want to buy a new one, go to clubgp.com and ask if anybody has one for sale. Best scan tool i've ran into minus the Ls1edit stuff. It can scan most ANY area of your motor,o2's, tranny temp's and all that good stuff all the way down to Knock Retard. Great tool. I paid $175 for mine used. ~Cole~
