I was gonna paint the amber and white parts red, with translucent candy apple red, and clear the whole lens. Then I was gonna rewire the bulbs, so the parts that were amber and white, would both light up for the turn signal. For reverse lights, I was gonna use super-bright white LED's, in vertical strips on each side of the license plate.
But the reverse lights would've been kinda hidden till they lit up.
I already painted the front turn signals red, and it looked pretty good with the stock Bright Rally Red paint. With amber bulbs, they light up almost an amber color, so it isn't "too illegal".
I think the tails woulda looked sick with the shaved filler panel (shaved keyhole and CAMARO letters off).

Guys relax, it came w/ the car when I bought it! I hate the damn spoiler, I'm not a ricer nutcase, so don't worry! I've been on the hunt for a painted SS spoiler for awhile now as a replacement! I'm actually tryin to sell these LED tails but no one wants em... I replaced them w/ LT1 tails that VHT'd simply because it flows better w/ my Beger Panel...

ZO6 Tails.. I have a firebird instead of a Camaro, and looking at the sligt oval shape of the C6 taillights I tink it would match the curves of the car nicely. I've found many ZR1 taillight kits for the custom truck scene, but their square shape wouldn't go well with the Firebird body. Maybe I'll try a Photo Shop edit and see how they look. I'll be sure to post pics when I get that done! Swat
