Default Best fix for bad leather seat

My 99 SS leather front passenger seat is history.

What is the best solution to fix or replace the factory seat?

1. Junk yard replacement?
2. Buy a seat cover replacement and have someone install it?
3. Other?

Thanks

go to a shop and get a quote to have it repadded/recovered. camaro seats suck, they wear out and tear. mine didnt last 70 thousand miles and i weigh 150 lol. check out local yards for vette seats and TA seats, they rock

MemphasZ28:
When you say, "go to a shop and get a quote"; what does that mean?

Is this work done at (i) an appolstry shop?, (ii) auto body shop, (iii) shoemaker/leather shop?

Are factory replacement seat covers offered for sale or must you replace the whole seat?

I have no idea where to go for an estimate!

I've looked on EBAY for months now and the offerings there are not very good and quite expensive too. I'm kinda at a loss and don't know what to try next.

About 1 year ago, I got a quote from a "Camaro" junk yard (Billy Graham's) for about $500. At the time I thought that was really high. Now it seems reasonable, however.

An auto upholstery shop is what you need. They are usually fast and most do good work at reasonable prices.
