I like how the covers do exactly what they say "cover". It cleans up the appearance in the bay quite a bit but to those who have Camaro's and Trans Ams with "Corvette" on their covers
IMO, though, nothing beats the look of smooth valve covers after the coil relocation kit addition

One more thing I gotta peel off when I'm workin on my car...
I'd just relocate the coil packs and paint the stock valve covers if anything.
Do what ya want man, but I'm constantly workin on the motor...

I love em!
They were the very first appearance modification that I did to my CETA back in 2002. I wanted the engine bay to more match the exterior, so I had an old buddy from LS1dotcom work me up a set. It took him 6 months of trial an error to get everything perfect since no fuel rail cover had been done to this level at the time. But they were well worth the wait.
I get tons of great comments on them when I attend shows. Plus they are unmodified 97 vette FRCs that I can get on and off in under 10 minutes now.

Every year I take them off in February for a complete clean and reconditioning. Dawn wash, claybar, wash, replace any peeling chrome decals, paint cleaner wax, touch up paint to wear areas, coats of Z2 and Z5 alternating days for a week and then I put them back on for the Southern Trans Am Regionals.
I have to give a lot of credit to Rob Snell for doing these for me. He did a REAL Quality job on them with a Ton of Love and I can tell he made them to last.

On the other side of the coin, an engine cover like on the 05 Gran Prix GXP (V8 engine) should work real nice on the F-bodies.
It just needs trimming on the back under the cowl and a way to be mounted into place.
Oh yea, the lettering would look kind of dorky so that would probably need to be smoothed over.

I know a lot of people like the FRC's but don't like that they say Corvette. Some people have the know-how to fill and smooth them themselves, then re paint them. But if you don't know how, then your other option is to get them professionally smoothed and painted for upwards of $300!
