I think the cars look good with the rs kits on. Everyone has their own preference on how to make their cars look...just makes you more unique

If everyone did the same **** to their own cars...why would anyone waste their time looking at pics on these type of forums?

I always thought it looked like GM left a piece off in the front. Why does it just end like that? I think most people think "V6" when they see gfx on camaros. Not trying to offend, some of the cars in this thread pull it off pretty well.

They might think V6 when initially seeing it but no one is going to confuse my LS1 with a GMMG exhaust with a V6 once they have heard it or gotten spanked by it!

To each his own. When I bought my Z it had the SAP (It's "Sport Appearance Package" on the Z28 not RS kit just as an FYI to the original poster) and I didn't want to go through the hassle of removing it and filling in a million holes and having to re shoot both Q-panels. That was 4 years ago and I actually like it now.

I didn't care one way or the other. My primary goals were a NBM LS1 with a stick. Dealers wouldn't deal on a T/A, and this was the only NBM stick locally at the time. I kind of wish it didn't look as much like an afterthought as it does. I do like that it doesn't go all the way across the front bumper because it'd really be scratehed up in the middle. In fact, if they could've given a little more ground clearance on the front it'd be fine.

Actually the SS spoiler and hood is the "Sport Appearance Package"

I believe what you are referring to is the Super Sport Package... the SAP is indeed the ground effects and three piece spoiler often associated with V6 Camaros. Mike02Z is correct, and I definitely agree that the looks on their faces are priceless when they realize that they just encountered an LS1

I'll get pics of mine up sometime next week, who has a SAP car lowered? I have bought a set of Eibach pro kit springs already and my car is on my lift ready to install them. Just worried about ground clearance on the body and exhaust. I have a white 2000 SAP Z28 with TT2's, Taller RKsport spoiler (like one used on the Dick Harrell Camaro), Quad tip CME, and Ultra Z hood.

Speedbumps will be your worst enemy. My '96 was lowered 1.5" and I got stuck on the y-pipe a couple times. I know all the exhaust guys on a first name basis, I went by about every month or so to get the leaks fixed. Any raised driveway/speedbumps will need to be taken with extreme care. Road debris will wreak havoc on your sideskirts.

Mine's lowered, but I don't recall by how much. I don't track how much lower it is from stock due to OEM stacked tolerances... I measure from the ground to specific LCA bolts. I think it's about 7" +/- 0.5" at the rear LCA body bolt, and about the same at the front LCA body bolt.

The only clearance problems I have is the front spoiler. I think that's part of the reason they made it a two-piece... the center section would take the brunt of the scraping. The edges near the center of mine take the most damage.
