Need help removing scratches from t-top glass!!!
Lets just say that my driver's side t-top decided to act like a kite today. Upon returning to earth it took a nice slide along the pavement. To my shock and surprise it was still in one peice but was scratched to hell on the top.
All of the scratches have a white color to them, which is really obvious with the t-top being black. Do I have any shot in minimizing this damage? I know I'm not gonna get it back to looking perfect, but I can't get myself to buy another one just because this one is scratched.
I am going to call a couple windshield places as well as automotive detailers and see what they say. I know jewlers can remove scratches from watch faces, I'm wondering if the same can be done here.
Any ideas?

I have no idea if these will help but it might be worth a try.

The tooth paste idea might be the first thing to try since it is cheap but I am not sure how long it will last or if it will come off with water after some time.
