Not for my Trans Am, but I'm looking to do some body repairs for my beater Cherokee and was wondering where to start looking for some OK paint, cheap but still look decent. I got a gun and need to shoot one fender and the hood. I'm gonna do basecoat clearcoat to try and match the shiny-ness of the rest of the car, and its black so it shouldn't be too bad of a match (accounting for fading, etc).

Any ideas of a good place where I can pick up a couple quarts of black and some clear? If its cheap enough I'd rather do this than rattle can it.

Cheapest places might be the smaller bodyshops...sometimes you can get them to mix you up some.

go over to the paint and body section, look at their sticky for paint code, there is i think two online stores there
