These are the FRCs you want. They already have the dual slots for the fuel lines so you don't have to cut those. From what I've read removing the EGR and AIR allows for less cutting. You'll still have to cut some but not as much.

LS1 fuel rail cover (dual slots) (from 97-98 Corvette, black, red letters), LH = 12559261

LS1 fuel rail cover (dual slots) (from 97-98 Corvette, black, red letters), RH = 12556455

They come out to less than $70 shipped if you get them through gmpartsdirect.

Also to fill in the lettering, people usually remove the letters and rought it up real well so that the bondo sticks to it. Then just primer and sand.

Don't use regular body filler 'Bondo'.
Use something flexible, like Bondo's DynaLite, NAPA's Flexible Bumper Filler, Or Evercoat's Maxim Plastic Repair Finishing Epoxy.
I've been using the Evercoat product for excellent results for about a year now.
It's available at most Napa stores also, along with it's cleaner & promoter sprays.
As mentioned by 98redM6, make sure ya grind out the red paint in the embossed 'Corvette' text, as the filler won't stick to it very well.
Good Luck, ...
