hazed head lights, can i wet sand and clear coat?

like the titles says my headlights are hazed can i wet sand and clear coat them or do i need to get new ones?
if i could wet sand them what grit should i use to sand them?

But yes you can. When I worked at a body shop we just took the headlights, scuffed them and shot clear right over them and they look like new. But if you prefer to wet sand I would say just hit them with 400 wet then wipe them with wax and grease remover and spray them clear and they should be fine.
