I talked to the guy that I go to for all my upholstery needs and he even was shaky about the door panels. He told me if I wanted he could give it a try but he doesn't think it'll be his best work. Good luck with everything dude

I just went out and bought the vinyl for my car and started applying it... its really hard.. maybe you should not sell a kit but sell your services, they send you the interior, you send them a finished product.

They would be better going to a local upholstery shop due to shipping charges if you weren't going to do it yourself. Btw, you need to get specific material, glue, and be following some kind of guide if you've never done it before...

Yea, i'm already waist deep in this project. Thought about this idea several years ago, but never did it because I couldn't find any info. I have all the supplies and stripped interior. Not too long ago I saw someone do it on here. Thats where I believe Toofazt got this idea from.
Anyways, Toofazt...it'd be great if you could pm on some of the details or things to be careful about. I'm pretty sure I know what to do, but i'd like your take on this. I got a Q about the adhesive I bought too.

Sorry guys, instructions are part of the kit. If you want to buy all your materials yourself to save a little money, that's great but I can't give you instructions for free that others will be paying for. If you search tech, you can find some threads that will help you out. It's kinda like buying performance parts from an online retailer because they have the best price, then going to your local speed shop and expecting them to help you with the install... Hope you understand.

Thanks for the offer but I don't even know what brand of glue I use. I get it from a local very high quality boat & automotive upholstery shop and they won't even tell me what it is. All I know is they've been using it for years, and it works great.
Maybe find a local upholstery shop and they might be generous enough to sell you some of their glue...
Thank you

Here's the passenger side sail panel. This one took about 2x longer than the others did because it's so large and curvaceous but came out really nice The sail panels' are definitely the toughest part of the job. The only trouble area is the bottom part that is covered by the rear seats, so it doesn't matter. BTW, my speaker grill is painted that's why it's so glossy.
