Default Arctic White Trans Am engine bay complete. Well, almost.

Not exactly anything unique or mind-blowing, but it is clean. I had Parbreak paint the FRC’s and lid. I painted the rest; including air filter assembly, motor mount clamshells, intake manifold, valve covers, coil brackets, water pump, belt tensioner, oil dipstick handle, power steering pump bracket, and power steering cooler. I polished the MAF ends, throttle body, AC accumulator and lines, and all the formerly brushed stainless steel covers. Almost all fasteners visible from up top have been replaced with chrome plated fasteners. I would have loved to have a “pro” paint the engine bay and all the stuff behind the bumper fascia, and still may some day. I still have to do something about the broken bolt on the primary latch support.

Great job. I'm waiting on some more nitrous parts to come in and brushed covers that I am going to have powdercoated. Hopefully it will look as clean as yours .

I love how white and polished go together so well. Looks really clean... I'm still amazed you were able to polish all those covers, lol. Great job!

I updated my pics w/ some taken outside.

Thanks for the compliments everyone. If my engine bay looks good, it is in part due to this site: lots of fantastic ideas, quality vendors, and lots of how-to type help.

Yeh, that was definitely an inefficient use of my time; should have spent the extra ~$35.

Not very hard. This mod had a very good return on the time spent doing it, in terms of appearance.

If I were closer and had my garage set up like I eventually will, I would take you up on the offer. I know I can produce better quality, faster and cheaper next time.

That paint is stock. Sorry for the confusion. I want to have it painted, and considered doing it myself w/ rattle cans. I decided not to because many people said that rattle-canning it could cause adhesion problems down the road if I decided to have it painted with real automotive paint.

ya +1 on the smooth bellows...but i almost think that a polished STB would set off the other polished items better. White might take away from the FRC's (which look killer btw).
