Car cover Sorry if this is the wrong section, but I am looking for some info on a car cover. I would like something that would give my car good protection outside. Something that is fit to my vert. I looked at the one from SLP, and I like that one, with camaro SS embrodered on it. I would like something like that. Anyone have any sujestions on one? Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks

I am assuming it will see snow when covered outside? If so, get the Noah cover from covercraft or california car covers. Works really well and will allow a lot of breathing but will keep the ice and snow out.
The SLP cover is NOT made to be used outdoors. It's really meant for cars that sit indoors all the time or at the occasional car show.
I bought a NOAH cover from Covercraft and I love it. It's made really well and fits almost perfectly. However, don't plan on using it in high winds. Even when tied down, it blows off my car. You would have to add a number of grommets and 'rope' to the cover to work.
One more thing: Make sure and shop around. Prices differ widely. When I bought mine, I got the bag and lock for free, free shipping, and for cheaper than anybody else. I bought mine from AutoSupply (or something like that).

Well the car is garaged most of the time, well all of the time. I was just looking for something, as a just incase. I do want something that will keep the rain off etc. But it will be covered in the garage as well (dust). My car is getting painted as we speak....so I wanted to protect the new paint job......

I reccommed a cover from California Car Cover. I had a SLP one and switched to one of the California car covers and love it. I know have 2 California Car Covers for both of my Camaro's.

My experience with car covers is that they are good for keeping the dust off when parked inside, and that is about it. Outside, the wind can blow them off or cause them to rub the paint and makes them a general pain in the As$, especially in winter months.

Verdad Gallardo didnt have any problems with my Noah blowing off or hurting the paint, looked as good as the day I put it on there and we can get some nasty weather in the winter time here in MI. Just make sure you give a good wash and wax before. I didnt even tie it down, I just stretched the sides over and it was fine.

Check out this cover from Car Motorsports...I have one. I had a Noah cover in the past and it started to deteriorate after a couple years. The new cover from Car Motorsports fits great, has an emblem embroidered on it (included), has a very good system for securing it on the car, and a LIFETIME warranty. Real nice people to deal with, too.
