Steve, what booth will Bad Penny be at when she is in Vegas?

I have no idea if you can pull the car out for the night while SEMA is going on, but if you can, you should drive to my families place on Lake Mead. The road there is epic; perfect twisty road, with the turns slanted. Not to mention the scenery is perfect to take pics. It's about 30 to 40 minutes from the strip.

Just thought I would let you know.

My re-hooped Forgeline wheels arrived today, as did the Toyo R888 R-compound tires.

They are done sanding are are buffing the car now. Next will be plumbing the Fuel Safe fuel bladder tank.

Lots of minor stuff to do, I picked up a Momo wheel today..

I will have new pics soon.

Oh Wilwood is upgrading the brakes on Penny to some brand new track version of their 6-piston deal.

What booth will Penny be at when she is at SEMA? My dad and I might stop by Friday (last day) since I don't have school and he already has passes.

That's how long it takes for a "showboat" finish.. they start with one grit paper and then go finer and finer until it's smooth enough for buffing. You have to do it carefully (it's an art) or you'll burn through the clear and then you're screwed.

I've seen paint jobs where they have over $5,000 in color sanding and buffing..

Ok.. progress pics...

Today was "final buff" day.. the next step will be re-assembly and install of the new gas tank (and plumbing).. Two weeks till I have it back :woot:

Best Of Show Coachworks hard at work...

Yah know I started looking at Penny, and was like...damn those wheels look horrible. Then I remembered the wheels you usually have on there and came to my senses that those were just put on there so you didn't mess up the good ones.

Great looking car man. Have to admit. #1 First gen in my book...hands down!
