BOS shot the sealer. We were going to paint Saturday, but the temp got to be over 100 degrees and Joe was worried that the paint would dry too fast and wouldn't lay down nice.
The sealer is almost the shade of the paint. lol.. Anyways, it's nice to see her looking like her old self and the damage gone. I want nerf bumpers for when I get back on the road.
Monday they shot the paint. Now it's time for 40 hours of color sanding and buffing. Gots to get ready for SEMA..
Out of the paint booth.. indoors...
Outside in the sunshine...
A HUGE thanks to the crew at Best Of Show Coachworks for getting her back to health. A first class shop ran buy first class gearheads. I can't wait to see her after all the color sanding and buffing! :woot:

Jesus, I can't believe how far its come. After seeing the progress pics for like 2 years it felt like, I couldn't believe the accident happened. The odds of it happening to this car, that half the internet followed in its build etc, is just astounding. I'm just glad to see it getting back to its old look.
Did you change the wheels, or are they temporary?

Same wheels. I have having the new Toyo R888s mounted up next week. The ones in the pics are just beat up shop rollers.
Thanks for the comments, I will SO HAPPY to have the car back to drive.. The Fairlane just isn't the same. lol

Steve,
Car is coming back to life. Looks good!
My offer still stands to detail the car for free if you want. I'm sure the body shop will do a great job wet sanding and buffing, but they will still leave swirls in the clear coat.
Let me know. I'm on LS2 also.
Here is a thread from when I did Jonathan's 2002 Firehawk awhile ago.

People who do the kind of detailing I did on that 2002 Firehawk could easily get $500+ around here locally.
