hell the Adams Quick Detail spray will put the NXT liquid wax to shame.

the cheap zymol stuff is good for me. It seems easier to take off then meguiars step three wax. I like how it dries in seconds. You must have been in the sun or put it on right after you drove it cause no wax is that hard to get off..

I like my Menzerna IP/FP followed by Meguiar's #21 pure carnauba. It looks great and lasts a good amount of time. Everyone has been ranting and raving about NXT but it never lasted even remotely long enough for me, although it does look great. I did recently just pick up another bottle of it to try out. I just fully detailed the car and used NXT and put it under cover for a while as I moved across the country, but we'll see how long it lasts this go around. How it looks all in the prep, but how long it lasts is all in the quality of the wax/sealant. My next purchase will be some type of sealant as I have yet to use one (although NXT is considered more of a sealant than a wax).

done with zymol. Yes it is a pain in the butt to remove but I think it works well for the price. I like NXT, but it just does not last long enough.

Another vote for Menzerna IP/FP / FMJ combo. Even more critical is halogen lights on a paint. I had the paint on my wifes black Saab as perfect as I could get and with a halogen light, I could actually tell where there were light and heavy sprays from the factory. But, I didn't see anymore swirls.
That's with flourescent lights, which are pretty accurate on showing the quality of the paint. Obviously, I'm kneeling taking a picture of the t/a reflecting int he door of her car. I agree that the prep is critical. I spend hours doing the intensive polish.
