Thanks for all the positive comments guys!

Ive been loving every second that Ive had this motor and tranny in here. I cant even describe what a difference it is after the V6 and the 700R4.

The actual swap was sort of tedious. Getting everything right took 10 days of work (68 actual labour hours) from the beginning of the tear down to the last test drive. A lot of work was put into getting the motor to sit right, making new AC lines, getting the electrical to work. Everything else was pretty easy. Definately worth it

I LOVE THIS CAR!!!!!!! I had a 92 RS that I wish I couldve put an LS1 into. And I have never seen the C6 wheels on a 3rd GEn. Looks soooo good! Definitely my dream 3rd gen.

Holy **** man. Amazing. Glad to see you finally got her done. I remeber you mentioning the swap on thirdgen.org. That car truly looks perfect and you have excellent taste. I am just speechless. Not to mention you take great photos. I have the same plans for my '91. I know the feeling switching from the 3.1L! Wow.

WOW, thats one of the best 3rd Gen's I have ever seen!! Nice work bro, I havent seen C6 wheels on those cars yet and IMO they set the car off NICELY. I can tell you have put a ton of time and money into that car, keep up the good work...........

Very nice,

Are you ready to sell it now?

Give us the lowdown on all the work that went into it,
what you did, tougher parts, easy stuff, parts list, etc.

Very Nice!

As for the LS1 swap, I picked up these parts
http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/in...OD&ProdID=1350
http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/in...OD&ProdID=1664
http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/in...ROD&ProdID=909

http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/in...ROD&ProdID=908

I also got a wiring harness from Speartech which really helped with the swap. It cut down a lot of time. There are a lot of small things that you run into during a swap like this though. For example, the motor mounts werent built right so we had to shim the mounts to make the motor fit and clear the steering components. We also had to make up some new mounts for sensors like the temperature sensor. Also the AC lines needed to be done, so I had to learn how to crimp AC lines. It honestly was a lot of work but it was definately worth it. I think next time though Im just going to start off with a Corvette

Does it get any better than a thirdgen with an LS1....?? It's like Nilla Wafers and a bowl of CoolWhip.... they are meant for each other....
Great job man, she looks beautiful!!

+1 i also think its pimp... the reason those wheels looks so good on it is cuz they actually look like the z28 wheels that came with the 3rd gen.
