FYI...

Custom HOK Black. They turned out pretty good. The paint is holding up fine after about 9 months now. It's not a daily driver and stays in my garage with a car cover. All you guys with black cars know...black is beautiful but such a bitch to keep clean!

I dont think this is such a bad idea, my wiper cowl is dull and dry. I might just have to spray some gloss black paint on mine just to revitalize the plastic.

Mine really turned dry and dull looking. I was thinking about painting it gloss black but I thought that would look too cheap. Maybe a Semi-Gloss? Anyone else done this or have pics??

I hate that dull textured black crap which is a polish/wax magnet! I say it looks great!

I had a tough time getting the wiper arms off. Ended up using a battery terminal puller and they popped right off. Other than that there is just some plastic retainers that you have to take out. Just be careful with the lines for the washers. I broke one of mine taking it all apart

I don't know about the pewter. I'd have to see it with the hood closed. Black I would certainly consider though.

i would think it would cause a glare when the sun hit it (if it's shiny)and blind you as you drive down the road. just a thought, could be wrong.

Ended up painting it flat black instead. Just could not get used to the way it looked body colored. Still with it smoothed over and painted it looks 100 times better. I will get some pics tomorrow hopefully
