I checked mine on the car this evening and although it wasn't flawless, I was very pleased. I feel releived. Hopefull I will get it all painted up this winter or early spring.

did you try putting it on with tighten the front bolts on both sides then tighten up the back to bring the front down?

No, but I will try that tonight. I plan on trying that method and the method or tighten each bolt two turns and then moving to another bolt till they are all tight.

I just went out and did that with no difference in results. Like I said the inside part meets the hatch perfectly, but the outside looks like it is some how warped up. I hope SLP makes this right.

Here are two new pics after I tightened it down like you said too.

The fitment is so far off, I think my cell phone works fine. And Nik is out of town.

hey keith... i know this isn't the answer you were looking for... but as you might remember I used to work for RKSport... if this SLP thing doesn't work out, they are somewhat local to you so you could always drive your car down there and test fit it before you leave the warehouse... that's if they have spoilers that catch your eye... i can vouch for the quality of their fiberglass stuff...

whatever you do, DON'T modify that spoiler from SLP in any way! or they won't let you return it... Don't let a body shop touch it or it's yours to keep... That's definately a mold issue with the fiberglass and it's warped... not unusual to happen, as molds are only good for about 30 units then a new mold has to be made.

I guess if SLP does not make it right, I can buy the RK 97 SS spoiler. Looks to be 10 pounds lighter than the SLP one.

How is the fitment of the RK Sport '97 SS Spoiler? Any pics of the SLP Spoiler on your car? I'm curious to see how well it fits.

Seriously Keith, just send the SLP back and get the one I have:

https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...ght=spoiler+ss

$230 shipped to my door. BETTER than a stock 98+ SS spoiler IMHO because it is smooth (one piece, not two like stock so it has not mating line) and because of this matches/flows from the quarters perfectly !

Even has a little more flare up at the end than stock but uses the stock (SS) brake light (it comes with it though)
