sewing seat bolster im gonna take out my seat cover and sew up the gash in the bolster. anyone have a tip on what size thread to use? the 2 ends can be brought back together by hand.

for my machine i was a 2020 singer needle, like size 100/16 or so. hand sewing just use whatever your thread will go through (hole size). use uphosltery thread not general purpose.
