Default How do I remove this panel?

I belive it is called the sail panel...it is to the right and left of the back seats....by far the biggest peice of plastic in the car. I tried to get it off and it seemed the only place that it was holding on is where the little hanger is near the top, but not all the way at the top. Any help would be much appriciated! Thanks

Andy

Plan on replacing it if you try to remove it, it wont come off without breaking.
I have also never seen anyone try to remove it with piano wire without a lot of damage. There glued on with windshield urithane around the parimeter as well as some blobs in between.

I allways busted them off in pieces since they were getting replaced anyways.

It comes off. Pull the inner part of the coat hanger out and pull off the coat hanger itself off. It's easier said than done. I have yet to accomplish this but have read that that is the way to go about it.

I tried to pull the hanger off...the middle part of it comes halfway out and then you get stuck. It won't move anywhere after that!

If you have a small pair of needle nose pliers you can get the middle piece of the hanger out as far as you can then compress the part that gets pushed in. It has little teeth that lock it into place. I just pulled these off like 3 weeks ago.

All you have to do is grab a small flat tip screw driver and pop out the center section of the coat hanger. it should slide out fairly easily. then press down on the section in side of it. you might have to pull a little but it will pop right off. it may be the biggest panel but its probably one of the easiest to get off. I just put a 6 point roll bar in my car and it only took about an hour and half to get the seats/panels/carpet/center console all out.

yeah it simple as hell to remove the panels in the cars.
i used a small and i mean small screw driver to get the coat hanger piece off.
me and my buddy had his entire interior out in an hour, seats, all panels, carpet, etc.
its easy bro, trust me.
