Not as long as its not too dark. A few light coats will darken the lenses and still allow the light to show through.

VHT is a translucent black lens paint. Wet san = wet sanding the lens after the VHT is applied and then polished to a shine.

VHT Nite-Shades are the way to go. Take your time and do it right. IMPO
Transparent black tail light lens coating for creating a custom European styling. When applied to tail lights, fog lights or turn indicators, VHT Nite-Shades appears black until they are lit, then the natural red color appears.

i vhted my corners and side markers because theyre small and dont get noticed that often, but i have covers on my tail lights so i dont get hassled when i get an inspection, i also take them off when driving long distances on the highway because cops like to have a reason to pull me over it seems, and i dont want to give them anymore excuse than they already have with the no front license plate...

I'd reserve a black out for a dark car personally, but I doubt it will look horrible on a white car

Thats the whole reason I wanted to buy the covers,the cops around by me are dicks.
