I believe that Hotchkis offers them in the high polished aluminum, they're a bit priecey though! (I think around $240 or more) I might consider one down the line, but I'll stick with my red powdercoated one for now.
No, Noo, No. I'm talkling about the actual strut towers, not the braces. They look just like the exterior of the car, nice and glossy.

No pics but I simply cleaned mine off and then put a layer of clearcoat on, the difference is amazing.

Ryan
I butched the code on that post!

Heres a pic, you see the drivers side compared to the pass, Just clearcoated it. The pass side is waiting for the wire mod to be completed.

Hey Steve2000SS, I have a question about your battery. Is that a normal Optima red top battery with a cover on it? If so where did you find the cover? I have an Optima red top and I would like to make it look nicer. Thanks for any info.
You can find the battery cover at the following links. The first one is in red, the second link in yellow, but you can paint it like Steve did, which looks sweet!

Thanks to Steve for providing me with the link... cover looks good.

I never would have imagined an LS1 engine bay could look as good as these do!

Hawkfish, where did you find the decal for the lid?

What is the battery model? The one that Optima says to use in a late model f-body is 73-35. It figures that the plastic Optima lid does NOT fit the 75-35. So which battery does fit in a late model f-body that the Optima lid also fits?

Yep, technically the smaller red top batt is the one for our cars but the larger one fits fine (and is a better battery).. to use the cover you need to shift the battery more tword the passengers fender. To do this I hacksawed off the small wedge stop on the battery tray, this game me just enough room to move the battery over a half inch or so. The battery will fit without doing this but if you run the cover it will rub on the small AC line that goes to the condensor. In other words get the larger red-top and make it fit
