Default Is this too much?

I have a '99 pewter SS convertible and was wondering if this would be too much to have on the same car.

1. RS ground effects kit complete (with quad tips in rear)\

2. Black 35th anniversary stripes.

All opinions are welcome. Oh, and thanks.

YES!...too much.

I wouldn't go with either one.

I'm not a fan of ground effects on these cars, rarely does it look better. The lines on these cars are pretty sweet and extra panels don't add.

Stripes are nice when done tastefully - generally less is more!

With your SS, don't add gfx please.. The stripes, however, would be sweet.. Have them painted on, though.

Have to be the dissenting opinion on this one. I personally think the GFX make the car look more aggressive, especially if it is lowered. By adding the GFX and stripes, you make the car personalized instead of just one of the herd.
I would stick with the GM GFX kit or sone very similar though.
Also, with the kit, the rear ties don't seem to stick out so much if you choose larger tires and rims.

Just my .02 though

i'd say the stripes would look pretty good. the body kit- the choice is yours... i think it's one of the better looking camaro kits out there, but IMO i think the cars natural lines are better

I like the RK sport front spoler. I thihnk it looks way better, but thats just my opinion. In the video wild times 2 it has a sweet black SS with that kit and Z06 wheels.

I have a lowered '99 Z28 (1.5" drop) that rides on 17's (275's front, 315's rear). I have tried every body kit that you may come across, like the Wings West, RKSport, factory, and Xenon kits. Unless you own a paint & body facility, or trailer your car to shows, please dont't put a GFX kit on. If I can save one person from those headaches...

I agree with alexws6, Do what YOU want. But I'm thinkin about putting the Xenon GFX on mine with the RK Sport rear panel, for the center exaust. I think the Xenon kit looks really sweet and it sorta widens the look of the car. Or at least the car i saw it on it did that. oh well. Be good Later Justin

Hmm, dunno why you would say 35th anniversary stripes would look bad on a Pewter car but anyhow decide for yourself.

I got RKSport ground effects on my '01 SS, check it out in the sig. It is true they are a pain in the a$$ to up kee, painting will become regular maintanence. Stripes if done right look good. IMO.

No ground effects or stripes. I like the clean look with no extras myself.
