I've got a kick *** wash mit that is rubber lined and it works rather well, it just gets heavy, probably holds a good gallon of water. It started raining again so I aborted the mission and did some cleaning under the hood.

I will not use a public carwash, well, definately not the brush, and the spray doesn't seem to get anything clean.

haha, I saw this thread and had to post....my yuppy neighbor has a black STS-V Caddy and he pulled in the drive yesterday with frozen soapy water covering the damn thing. Because a -24 windchill is a good time to wash your new car....

He says to me..."I put $1.75 in the do it yourself wash, and it didn't give me enough time to do all the settings" Maybe if you didn't spend all the quarters on your freakin Caddy, you could afford to wash it!

I washed my old car at a carwash when it was like 5 outside, I had a layer of frozen water covering the entire car. It actually looked kinda cool

Crazy Thought: Wait a few weeks for more reasonable weather. i used to pull stupid **** like washing my car in FREEZING weather(the GTP mainly), but now if its below 4 deg celcius water dont go near the car. I learned my lesson after I spent 20 mins tryin to break into my frozen door. The crazy cold temps usually only last a few weeks at a given time anyways.

The easiest thing to do is go to a carwash with heated bays. I myself am not a big fan of going to car washes but around here it's the only choice in the winter.
