Default Complete tan to ebony interior swap

My car is a factory Hugger Orange Z with tan interior . I just recently bought ebony interior for it so now the work begins. My roll cage was painted orange to match the car, but I didn't like it plus it would be a bit much with black interior. I just got done painting the roll cage a medium gloss black and it turned out really nice. Talk about a pain in the *** to do! I think it will blend in nicely with the black interior.
Here's a few pics of it before and while in progress. I will keep the pics coming as it comes along. I am waiting for some ebony seatbelts to get here so I am kind of stuck for now.

Yeah I've never been a fan of the tan interiors either. I plan on doing the same swap some time soon, but I'll be painting my plastic pieces, buying a new carpet and seat belts, and having my seats upholstered. Sweet looking ride you got there too, the black interior with the roll cage will look very good.

I Would Love Black Insides For My Car But Cant Afford It Right Now, Looks Like It Coming Along Pretty Good For You Though, What Are You Going To Do With Your Old Tan Seats They Looked To Be In Pretty Good Shape

The only thing stopping me from this is the dash, the 99 dash is quite a bit lighter than the ebony 00+ interior

That's what I thought, I helped a friend do this to his 99 SS and he kept the dash in there and it blended really good. I'm not going to change out the front pillar plastic pieces, otherwise it would be obvious. I'll post up pics when it's done and I bet you will be surprised. I guess I should have not said this was a complete swap since I'm not changing the dash.
I got the carpet in today.

Front seats are sold already. I have back seat left and all plastic pieces and door panels that I need to put up for sale.

I bought all of my interior from a member on here, Elec87 is his user name. He lives only an hour and a half from me so I went and picked everything up. He has lots of parts and is a great guy to deal with.

Very cool. I hate that interior in the hugger orange cars too and ebony will look so much better! The only other color I would consider is white leather...always loved that in the hugger orange cars! Keep us updated with the pics once the seats go in.

Most people on here seem to hate the tan. I really like it. More than my grey stuff.

My car is heavy enough how it is . I thought about it, but that's about how far I got on the idea.
