Hu Mount
Hu Mount I'm putting a Pioneer DEH-P580MP in my TA, I got a install kit from Walmart and its a get what you pay for, its really cheap, radio doesn't even really fit all that great, it also has plastic mounting tabs when I would rather have a metal mounting tab. So I was looking at the Humount, whats the quality like? Is it really worth the 80$ they want for them?

I have the Humont that lights up red thats says trans am that I never got around to installing. In my opinion they're worth $80. they come out of Canada so the wait is long. I may sell mine.
I just bought one used for $50 off this board. It was black with red illuminated "Trans Am" lettering & Pontiac engraved under that. But I stripped the black off & it will be silver with the Pontiac lettering & thin line that runs around it painted black.
Just to let you know the metal faceplate of the Humount is attached to a plastic base that the lights plug into. Thats what you screw into the mounting tabs in the dash. So your not actually screwing in the metal faceplate, your still dealing with plastic.

looks worth $80 to me. I don't want to mess with the crappy walmart mounts anyway so I'm just adding it to the list of things.

Got the HU mount for christmas, took me about 3 weeks to get mine and I love it! The actually black part is a type of metal that goes over your HU and you screw it in so it actually locks it in place for you. I get nothing but "that looks awesome!" from people all the time.
