if you put the wing on the car just stay with the 3.8. persoanlly this is what i would do. buy a trans am, get that hood or if you get a ws6 leave the ws6 hood, keep the stock trans am spoiler and thats about it. this is just my opinion on the exterior and the interior i could car less about i think lime green stands out way to much on black.

IMO buy a base Trans Am if you want the mecham hood because you pay out the *** for a WS6 to have the stock WS6 hood. I have always liked the look of the mecham hood but heard they had bad quality. Not sure about the wing but that is up to you cuz it's your car. I would leave the stock T/A wing on it if it was mine. All I can say is enjoy your LS1 and happy modding!!

OK so from what im getting is the spoiler is disgusting and i get that cuz most ppl on here would hate the rice look
and mecham has crappy hoods
how crappy are their hoods anyway? i may still go with it and just spend the spoiler money on a 383 kit

Do a search on mecham hoods. I remember seeing problems with their fitment(large gaps, raised corners, etc) and with the fact that they were cracking at the point where the struts mount. But they do look damn good IMO.

If you want "something completely different" than the rest of the WS6s out there, simply don't purchase a WS6. Buy something "completely different" like possibly a Mustang.
