Where do I get the LED bulbs and is anything else needed?

I'd like to put LED bulbs in the front, and rear positions. What part #s do I need, and do I need anything else asided from the bulbs themselves? This is for my Formula. Thanks.

Autozone carries the Jam Straight bulbs, but I dont think they carry the amber 3157s. So I ordered mine from Afterthoughts Auto. I went with the 15 LED, but they have the 12 also. As from what Ive read, you will also need the electronic flashers and you can find those at Autozone too. They are the EL12 Standon Triton or something of that nature. You'll see what Im talking about when you see it. Hope that helps. By the way, you can probably get by with 1, but I would do both of them to be on the safe side. Whats $7 more, its better than taking the chance and screwing up a set of $60 lenses.

Did they make a noticeable difference in brightness and color?

Theyre clearer, but not brighter. Due to the bulb socket facing down, the bulb and all the LEDs face down causing it not to shine as well. At night they look sweet and even in the day, but they are hard to tell that they are on in the day.

I have LEDs in my turn signals now. 12 LED 3157s. I like how they look, but they're pretty dim cuz they face down.

I just ordered some 19-LED 3157s and 6-LED 194s. Maybe those will brighten it up some.

I'd really like to find some LEDs that have a turn in the base so that they can face out... or some contraption that would make normal LEDs face out.

Anyone know if such bulbs (or such contraptions) exsit?

The LEDs wouldnt be a problem if an aftermarket lighting company would make them with the socket facing forward rather than downward. That way you wouldnt have to spend so much money trying to get more LEDs or LEDs that faced out. There is a set that has the outer perimeter facing out, but I think they are $50 a bulb. Way too much money for me to blow on some bulbs. I have the 4 LED 194s ($10) and the 15 LED 3157s ($20). Theyre not the best but they do the job, Im not going to spend anymore money on bulbs.
