Question Removing water spots from windows?

I had to do this on my old Mustang. I have to do it again on this one. I'd really like to find a better product out there if there is one. I forget the name (I'm at work), but I use steel wool & this white liquid stuff. I had to use a lot of elbow grease & ended up with marks on the windows even though I used the finest steel wool out there.

So what products are on the market to remove waterspots? These bitches are baked on!

the steel wool will come in different grades! I have always used grade 0000 with some liquid metal polish try it on a small part 1st to make sureeverything is ok 1st. Dont just use any steel wool or you will scratch the **** out of the glass.

0000 steel wool and chrome polish

do it lightly, don't scratch it

Then keep some rain-x on the glass and it shouldn't happen again.

I had BAD hard water spots on my truck windows .. I used 3M "fine polishing compound" and a brillo pad .. It wasn't easy but I learned something .. NEVER let water spots go .. they only get worse!!!!

I just did this last night, chrome polish and microfiber towels. Oh yeah, don't forget your wheatie's. After that I used some Meguiars plastic polish to clean up. Here's a pic of the passenger side not done and the driverside finished.

Zaino X Glass Cleaner -- It's the only stuff that I have seen work. I put some on my buffer and buffed them all out really fast.

wheel cleaner and compound, mix them two together and you have yourself a badass acid rain remover.
