Weather its a driven at the track, or on the street, im pretty ****** sure its not going to change shape or appearance in any way, so how can you say no if its driven on the road, but yes it looks exellent sitting in the staging lanes?

I think it looks good, especially if you have a set of big & littles for the car. Do what you want, its your car and should be done how you want it. Who cares what anyone else thinks?

decreases visability....? Hell it's a safety feature! It makes you pay attension to the road; something 90% of the people driving around you aren't doing!

I had the hood on my car, and I must say going over hills aren't the most fun. Yet it did looks bad *** from the front. I got mine to be different and also it only weighed about 10lbs . As for making everyone want to race you, its kinda the opposite. Ofcourse maybe no one messed with me bc of my dumped true duals and loping MS4 cam sounded a lil intimidating .. I dunno..

Hills are the only time that I don't have 100% visability. I love mine though. Can't wait to get it painted and back on the road. Then all the people that want to try and race me can.

Actually, We have been working on some new offerings for all you ls1 guy's, and redesigning some of our old ones, to look even better, since you are trying to decide on a new one maybe this will give you another option, The firebird's will soon have a larger ws6 that will flow kinda like the sunoco, larger than stock but with plenty of visibility. As for the purpose of that hood most guys on this site might not know that our 4" ws6 was designed with the help of ls1tech members back in 2002 and we actually took votes right here, to decide the look and overall size of it, so love it or hate it that hood was designed by members on this board, stay tuned we will have some new products for ls1's very soon. here is a photoshop of our extended ws6 that will give you an idea of what were doing, sorry were not accepting votes this time, but we know you guys will like them.

For all those that say it decreases visability to much for driving how many have actually driven a car with a 4" cowl?
My last Camaro had a VFN 4" hood on it and while it was big you could see just fine.

No worse than driving a 68-82 vette with the big fenders. Trust me!

yeah, the new design looks better.....regardless if you can see fine or not it still decreases visibiltiy....try driving up a steep hill with turns with a stock hood and then try with that hood and you WILL see the difference.....I think the ws9 hood looks much better

well luckly the guys (and girls) at vfn are understanding, i opted to stick with the 4 incher. it does look mean *** **** on a black car (which i have) and the way i see it, ive already sent the money, so if i get the 4 inch, drive with it, and dont like it, ican always find someone to trade for a stock ws6 hood. As for visa versa it would be harder. right? so ill post pics when it gets here in 5 weeks. thanks.

Those are bogarts. Drag only! Check out SJM MFG(sponser---->) they sell'em. I hope you do enjoy the hood when you get it; and if you like it keep it if not ditch it. Don't worry about what others think. For every person that has to tell you how ugly it is someone will tell you it's bad ***, someone will tell your car's too loud, someone won't like the color, ect, ect.

Bogart Bolted RTs. 15x3.5 & 15x10s They are soft though so you have to be careful with driving them on the street.

I didn't say there was no difference at all, I was just saying it's not bad for daily driving and I am speaking from experience as I owned a VFN 4" hood. Until someone has actually driving one every day they really won't know what they're talking about.
