berger panel...

sorry if this is an idiotic question but im buying a rear panel so i can make it a berger panel...im going for the flat black look because i think it would match best...question is, is it as easy as going and buying the paint myself or is it something i should bring to a shop and have done?

Do it yourself. There are plenty of write ups on here to walk you through it, pretty easy deal.

Yeah, just do it yourself. I would've, but I got a good deal on one from a guy that wrecked his car. It already had the Camaro inserts in it and everything.

Don't do flat, do "bumper black" like Berger uses....

i know they sell some at autozone/oreillys

called trim bumper black or something, i painted my hood with 4 cans of that stuff LOL

Use satin black paint,they sell it at wal-mart.It's the same thing as "bumper black".

Yeah I painted one for my old car with the satin black they have at lowes, it looked good.

I think on a red car it looks best to do gloss so for the 35th Id go with gloss, it matches the top of the car and an SLP SS or bowtie grille as well.

Do whichever you choose. Flat, satin, bumper, they all look damn near the same. Do what you like best. I did mine in flat black.

I never used to like this mod, but it is definitely growing on me...

Don't use flat black, use gloss or semi...or the paint berger uses like the guy mentioned above

heres a full gloss so you can see what it looks like i personally prefer it
