Best way???
well im polishing up my machined lip on my ZR1s b/c they have alittle etching from the salt this past winter, and im doing some polishing so it will clear it up and shine it up more. So far ive took some scotchbrite pad to the lip and took the etching off, now its alittle dull but when i took some mothers polish it turned black real fast and began to shine up good. But im just wondering what is the best way to get the best results by hand polishing??? what should i use to make it shine and look smooth. I know people wet sand and i got some 1500 sand paper, so im just looking for the best hand polishing step by step.

My friend has a 98 vette with aluminum wheels, and his wheels got destoyed in the winter cause he left his car out, and i had this metal polish called IBIZ, and they look brand new, its amazing

He didnt need to wet sand they were just all shitty from the salt and snow and the abuse from the winter, but it left an awesome shine, i also used it on his dads T-bucket that has been sitting for years and the aluminum firewall is like a mirror on that now. Its not too pricey either. I use it on my chrome wheels and its rediculous

Hell we should both try this stuff out and see if it works, im still gonna do it the old fashion way and use a scothbrite pad and some high grit sand paper then polish the hell outta that lip, so far the area i did that to make it extremely smooth and shined really well.
