if i were converting from a formula to a trans am i would, but it looks too similar to the factory bumper to justify changing.

I agree with what everyone else is saying, that it needs a little something more to differentiate it from stock. Having the lip like others suggested is a subtle change that can make a big difference.

The DH cars have a perfect one in my opinion. It flows into the sides of the bumpers very nicely, which I think could be done with your bumper.

I would definitely buy it because my stock front cover is cracked at the bottom from the previous owner. +1 for the lip, especially like the front on the camaro above. how much would it cost? sorry if i missed that

I forgot about the DH cars myself, but yeah, they did a really good job on the lowered nose and integrated splitter. That's very similar to the overall look I want.

If you have any sketches, post them up. Maybe we could work on a design and tweak it until everyone will want to buy it.

I'm sure someone could patent around the Dick Harrell design without a problem, the only thing they'd need is $$. Their bumper fits the expanded fenders, which is something we would not want it for.

I think to make the splitter work well it will have to be split in the middle. I just dont see a splitter going right under the license plate holder. That would creat a lot more drag in my opinion. But if the splitter were to start from the inner side of the fog light openings all the way to the edge i think it would be a better flow.

If anybody has photoshop and can creat what im talking about plus maybe a full wrap around splitter so everyone can get a feel for it. I would but i suck at photoshop. Thanks

You can always draw a picture and take a picture of it.

Something to keep in mind is that the DH car has an open grill. Since most vehicles won't be converted to a front breather design, you'll have to make sure you can get enough air flow to the radiator.

A splitter shouldn't add much drag. It mainly keeps the air above it (from the nose) from flowing down and going under the car so the air will instead flow to the sides. If it's not designed properly it could lead to overheating.

Here's a cool article on spoiler design and such. Bottom feeder cars, like ours, have unique needs, though.

I am actually thinking very hard about doing my bumper that way. I have a few pics i can show, so you can really see what it looks like.

Now that I like!!!!!!

Yup, thats why i made the bumper the way i did. It still gives people an option of doing something alittle different if they wanted to or they can just put on their license plate .
