intake paint steps, HELP!

intake paint steps, HELP! hey just wondering if theres a certian type of paint i need to get to paint my LS6 intake? what all would i need to make it turn out good and shiney would i need to primer etc..? if you know anything please share. thanks

I would sand it all down with 5-600 grit and primer it so the color will come through better and faster. Then scuff of the primer with some scotch brite. I would paint 3-4 coats of base with a good 2-3 of clear. Just my .02 though
Sand with 400 grit and if you want you can sand off the circle/mold marks that are on the top like I did. I also used adhesion promotor then primer/filler to get rid of the texture. Wetsand in between coats of the primer and repeat process of painting/sanding till you are happy with it. Next apply your top coat....several coats of course then after it's dry spray clear and wet sand with 1500-2000 grit after about 3 coats of clear and repeat process a couple times
