i have never seen this in person i think the pics posted above look pretty good and its pretty rare. the first pic with the clean *** black camaro, i think the hood flows great with the head lights

Looks good as long as you are plannig a body kit; otherwise it does not sit well on a stock Camaro. .02

 

Personally, I always thought the older style ram-air hood (93-97) on Camaros didn't look too bad...



Now, if you're into cars and know what you're looking at your brain will definitely want to reject it... but if you just see a cool car with a ram-air hood I think it looks alright.

It is actually called the "Z style" hood

 

I think it looks ok to me. Go for what you like. It's good to stand apart. My friend has a 02 Z28 with this hood and it looks cool to me but he is also using a vizage body kit too which helps tie in the hood some.

 

Agreed, it looks really good on that 1st pic with that black Camaro. Idk though, ive seen this hood on 3rd Gen Camaro's too.

 

someone posted a pic if one in the appearance section asking about how it looks, maybe not on this site but it was posted recently. Its a ram air but a 93-97 style. Personally I dont like how either type looks on camaros. SS hoods and Harwood hoods look better

 

i had one on my 98 z. it had ground effects. but i hated it, it didnt fit good and it was really tall. some of you may have seen it at the gathering this year.

 

With the LT1 Cars it doesn't flow too well, the LT1 Cars are not that curvy in the front to fit it well..

 

That suncoast Z style hood is probably what got somebody to make the WSCamaro hood. Which to each his own, but an Ultra Z/Sunoco/Mecham hood would be a much better choice for the camaro. But at the end of the day if that hood will make you sleep better, by all means.

Check out the ultra Z... a more refined look yet still keeping the style you want.

 

Phantomzer, notice he asked for oppinions? Honestly, it's just as bad putting a firebird ram air hood on a camaro as it is putting a camaro SS hood on a Honda Civic like I saw this weekend.

If you want a big aggressive hood scoop you should also check out VFN fiberglass's 3in SS hood

 

I think mine looks alright.
