You can get carbon fiber sheets off of ebay, either get a self adhesive or a panel that has some thickness too it.
I simply took off the trim ring and cut the carbon fiber pc piece bigger than the hole it was covering and then drill through it where the mounting poles on the trim piece went and then slid it on and used the retainer clips to hold the panel on.
If that makes any since to you.

I've got an overlay kit on mine. They had all kinds of colors and this blue matched the car perfectly. I only wish I wouldn't have put the overlays on the radio and HVAC controls. Looks too busy in that area.
Thanks for the compliments, however that is Steve's old SS's interior, not mine 
. But to answer a few questions I believe the carbon fiber interior was from a different manufacturer other then RK Sport. The seats are Full power heated / cooled Recaro seats.
