Damn Window Felt Thingy lol. It ripped up my tint.
I have a 98 Z28 with tinted windows and I noticed that my tint got ripped by something inside my door jam. I pulled open the rubber guides to see that theres two brackets (metal) that keep the glass in place, Well the front one had a felt piece on it and the back didn't causing it to scrape my window and rip the tint. Anyone know where I can get this felt replaced? Thanks,
Matt

the dealer sells the bracket with felt. Like $8 or so.
On my 98, the back one was broken, and had 2 prongs sticking out, (where it should have had a 90 degree bend with the felt on it)
Luckily i was in the door doing speakers, before i got it tinted.

You would think, that since most replace the window motors...GM would automatically replace the bracket when they R&R the motor. GFF!
My fricken tint has the same problem on the ds window...and I have had warranty on the motor. I feel like going down to where I had the work done and............. I plead the fifth at this point.

Yeah, poor design. The "felt things" are used to adjust the glass inward/outward and have alot of pressure on them so they tend to wear out quickly.
