Default Aeroforce Gauge Help

I just installed my Aeroforce gauge. I will power up then turn off. Do the buttons push in to set? Mine seem stuck. I cannot get it to work on my 2000 Camaro SS.

They do not seem to be pushing in at all. The gauge just blinks a couple of times then powers down. Aeroforce does not have a phone number either. I have to wait to log onto their website also.

Try removing the little red jumper that's on one of the plugs on the back of the gauge to see what that does.

Ya, I have a 2000 SS and I just power it directly from the computer port, didn't need to hook up the 12 volt.

Ok thanks, Mine just keeps cycling on and off if i leave it plugged in. Does yours go off when the car is turned off? I believe the buttons are stuck in on this gauge. They do not seem to move at all. I cannot select anything in this with it in this state. I'm trying to get in tough with Aeroforce now but they only have email.

When I shut the engine off it stays on for a little while, but then goes out by itself.

If you are just sitting in the car then turn the key to accessory, I think it comes on for a little while then goes out.

As long as you have the engine running then it should stay on.

Sounds like yours is buggered. Will probably have to send it back. My buttons make a very slight click noise when I push them in.

The buttons on mine do not seem to move at all. I don't know if i should try and pull them out lightly with a needle nose or something. I'm waiting on a reply from Aeroforce. I wish i could just call them.

Just hook it up to the OBD port. I hooked mine up to a power source at first and it did exactly what yours is. Mine buttons stuck at first as well, but give it a little time. If you still have the receipt, the will fix it for you. Had to send mine back once. Hope this helps.

I went out a bit ago to look at it. It just cycles thru the menu then stops on utility then flashes on it for a while then goes off and starts all over again.

The buttons are probably rubbing up against the clear plastic lens - where it has the 2 holes for the buttons to come through.

Try shifting the lens around by pushing with your fingers until the buttons move without binding.

When it powers up does it go into the 'scan' mode? (Can you see two parameters?)
If it does go into 'scan' mode, do you have the same parameter up? (ie: Both the top and bottom read oil pressure.)

The buttons are weird. Mine felt like they were stuck in when I first received mine but that's the way they are supposed to be.

No it just keeps cycling thru the menu then shuts off. I tried at the track to get it to work, no go. The shift lights were blinking then i got it to just keep cycling thru the menu and could not select anything.

Kinda sounds like the buttons are stuck in causing all the haywire you are going through. If they dont click like they should that would be my guess, I wouldn't try taking apart cause that would mean more trouble for you when you send it off to be fixed. They are usually really good about fixing their stuff and getting it back in a reasonable time. My brother had to get his recalibrated for his 97 Vortec motor in his S10 project and when he got it back it worked just fine. I have one as well in my SS and love it with no problems at all. Just email them and they will take care of the rest. Sucks you have to go through it though.

Thanks for the reply. Aeroforce replied to try and turn the bezel the opposite direction that the buttons are stuck or rotate the buttons in a circular motion. I have tried this all to free up the buttons. Its still not working. I will probobly have to send it back.
