Default Schmutz on my T Tops

I bought some T Tops off eBay for my upcoming conversion and when I opened them up I noticed some schmutz on the top rubber surface. The best way I can describe them is they look like permanent water spots. I took a few shots of it so everyone else can see and after looking at the full res pics it looks like the rubber has actually deteriorated and it might not be fixable.

Any help on possibly bringing these back to factory condition would be greatly appreciated.

Here's some thumbnail links to the full res pics (425k-606k).

You haven't got any schmutz remover??? j/k! It does look like it has started to deteriorate a little though. I don't think there is anything that would bring them back, just try a good rubber/vinyl cleaner and try to blend it in. It would only be temporary though.

Yeah I'm fresh out of schumtz remover and friggin' Autozone discontinued it! I've already wiped it down with some Clorox APC and then a urethane vinyl conditioner and that's what you see in the pics.

Same problem here. I used back to black and it lasted for a good 6 months or so, then I had to do it again. It does look very nice once it's on there. Good luck!

Don't put back to black on it, unless you just wanna hide it rather than fix it. Back to Black just restores color and has very mild cleaning ability, so it looks good for a couple washes and that's about it. If you want to get rid of it rather than cover it up, purchase some Klasse All-In-One. It works wonders on removing oxidation and cleaning trim.
