Default Re-doing caliper paint

Hey guys,
I am doing a brake overhaul tomorrow and while I am down there I was hoping to do something about the crappy red brushed caliper paint fiasco that is cracking and peeling on my calipers. I have a nice drilled/slotted/zinc plated rotor setup going on the car to compliment my existing z06 wheels, so how do I make these calipers look better? Powdercoating is out the question, the money will never be worth it for that process. Can I just take an abrasive dremel wheel to the caliper to clean it up, and then spray with a high temp black paint? Do I need to primer? Is it even worth re-painting them because this will eventually happen again? Please let me know your stories/methods, etc. I used the search but I am looking for specifics. I want to remove the caliper rather than spray all over my car. I just need these calipers to look better than they do now. Thanks.

Use aircraft paint stripper. Get the gel type that you brush on. Put it on heavy and it will tear that old paint right off.

Thanks I'll remember that. Also, is it worth even trying to spraypaint the calipers, or should I just keep em plain?

Degreaser followed by some type of pre cleaner should get you ready for new coating.

You can get a whole powder coating setup for about $150.
