I'm guessing from the lack of a cup holder it is a fiberglass replica of the console that person made without a cup holder. Then they probably painted it with automotive paint. Other than that *shrug*

Can you fiberglass the plastic that is already in the car? I imagine that wouldn't stick very well

No no no, what i'm saying is they more enlikely made a mold of the original console and made a new one from the mold to their liking (ie no cup holder).

I understand what you were saying but I wondered if the fiberglass could be made to stick to the original console?

Id bet that the guy that did the console didnt make a mold or anything like that. If you ruff the plastic up alot the fiberglass will stick. Ive done plenty of fiberglass work to my old cars interior. If you ONLY want shiny stock parts. All you have to do it sand the texture from the plastic and make it smooth. Primer, Paint, Clear. I would use automotive grade stuff tho so it doesnt chip and scratch as easy as spray paint.

I'm not a 100% sure but i think it would stick fine, you could always test it out with a piece plastic and if you are worried about cracking you could always put 10+ layers on it

If its mixed right and with a bunch of layers it should hold just fine but the hard part is blending it so it looks all one piece
