Ok, here's an update for ya Captain. Sorry about the delay, I couldn't get to the pics till late Sunday. I actually didn't RTV the windshield at all. I just did the corners to make sure the water that did ride down the rain channels went down the weather stripping. You basically have to RTV all the waters 'escape routes' to make sure it goes down the weather stripping instead of behind it. Hopefully the pics are pretty self explanitory. If you need any more help though lemme know.

And we're still working on our Tut for the conversion. It's about 70% complete and should be done in a few days; hopefully.

Gotcha man, when we test fitted the weatherstripping thats exactly what I was thinking. All I have left to do is some more bondo work and paint and it will be finished

I am trying to finish up my t top conversion and am having problems getting the latches to align properly with the holes they go in to. We added some extra washers to the part the t top latches in to, but its not a great fit. We also grinded down the weatherstrip channel, although it just might simply need to be trimmed some more.

Any other tips/suggestions? How much of the latch should actually be inside the hole, I was figuring a good inch or so, but I am really not sure. Thanks for any help!

From what I have heard other people who have done this as well as myself they usually come out looking better than factory. They also dont leak, unlike most factory ones.

To anyone considering doing this, dont be too scared its really not that bad.

I didnt notice a difference at all. I also take mine out even when its only 60* outside. I've wanted t tops/ sunroof in a car ever since I started driving, and this is the first time I have had them. I actually get pissed now when it rains or its too cold because I cant take them out.

People around here never take theirs out either, even when its nice.

I did notice a difference in the rigidity of the chassis once the conversion was done. I could feel the *** end of the car 'dancing' around on bumpy roads. But a set of UMI 3-pt SFC's took care of that problem. It drives even better now than it did before the conversion.

COFFEE!!! The front floor pan stain is from when the interior flooded one year during the snow. Still to this day I have no idea how it flooded, but the Right Rear foot-well had about 2-3" of water in it. I sopped up as much as I could but the padding underneath still has moisture in it. Every time I lift either the nose or tail and let it set for a while you can see what moisture shifting around. God I can't wait for new carpet!

You shouldn't have seen any difference.

Structurally.... All 4th gens hard tops and t-tops are the same. All 4th gens start life off as a t-top car. The six spot welds don't add anything structurally to the car.... and T-top models don't have any additional bracing over the hard top models. Only verts get additional bracing.

I'm sure the SFC's helped.... but they would have also made a difference even if you had not done the t-top conversion.

BTW..... Nice work!!!!!!!!!!!!!
