Default Want Some Input On This (Considering A Change)

It's not an F-Body but I'm an F-Body guy just as much as a GTO guy with my two 'birds I sold and value the opinions of quite a few on here in relation to good car appearance modding, so since most of you guys don't visit the GTO specific forum on this site I'm hoping for some good input here on a big appearance change.

Car as-is in the top shot, bottom shot shows a quick and rough photoshop job I just did half asleep of the idea of the VZ Monaro conversion that creeps into my mind every once in a blue moon.

Seen it on a few other cars but only one Spice Red car and even still it didn't really give me a good idea what it would look like on mine, hence the reason for the chop real quick...

Thoughts? I'll reserve my personal opinions for a bit.

I like the Monaro conversion on a GTO. Will you also do the rear end as well?

It looks very flush, yet I like the Pontiac front end more....It flows with the ram air hood a tad better....leave it as is!!

the only thing I like about the Monaro front is the fog light location....your car looks awesome as it sits though!!!!

Personally, I'd have to say I like the GTO front better.

Like LS1Camaro87 said, it works better with the ram air hood. The Holden front makes the hood seem out of place.

Either way, the car looks great. I'm interested to see what others think.

I personally like the GTO front better. The only thing I would do, would be to look for the Sport Appearance Package Grille inserts. It sucks that they discontinued them.

I prefer the GTO look but I like the Monaro since you don't see it often. If I had a GTO I would leave it as is

My exact feeling. I think it's more of a lateral move and not really sure it's worth the money, but may be down the road if I get bored of what I've got. Honestly if I did it I'd probably ditch the CCWs I've got and either get some CCW SP16s (split 8 spoke instead of a split 5) or get some BMW CSL replicas (another split 8 spoke) to go with the more Euro "overseas" look of the Monaro front.

Honestly though I think I'll end up with some SAP replica grilles painted satin black to help make the front look a bit more aggressive, and do some custom rear fender work to flare it a bit and fit some 19x11s with a 295 or 305 back there and stay with the more American/domestic look. Possibly an Autoforms spoiler that is similar to the stocker but that fills in the space between the spoiler and body. We'll see.

I think you are thinking too much about it. Your car looks fine as it is and adding fender flares is going cost a ******* ton. Labor for the fenders, paint, new rims and meat... I mean I would really just focus on the little things.

Its a toss up for me. They both look good. I guess the second one looks a tad more refined and foreign (specifically Asian, like an Acura) whereas the first one is more American muscle. Personally, I don't think its worth it, I would put the money into performance.

that kit is hideous IMO....waaaaay to rounded

the RA6 would be about the only way to go, if you were going make big changes. Personally, I think your car is badass the way it is, but I know how you feel. Every time I make a change to my car I tell myself I am done...but then about a month later, I'm bored with it and I want to change something.

i dont know just makes it look more like a sedan with that front not a sports car. Now this is badass and makes the GTO look A LOT more aggressive IMO
