I dont like it, it looks tamed down. and plain. How about leaving the poncho grill and putting just the new bumper on

if you do carshows its hard to compete with older cars so you have to be differant , stand out , make people say whats that , in a good way . i like both , your car and you have to look at it every day, so which do you like best ? that is the question .

Leave it the way it is, your car is gorgeous.
Looks to me like you haven't modified your appearance much lately, so your bored and looking for something to do. Find some little things to do on the car. Interior LED's, plate LED's, anything to clean it up and call it your own.

And yeah that would look awesome, I was thinking that myself. Monaro lower grill and fog lights, but the traditional pontiac 2 piece upper grill. Dunno how you'd manage that though, lol. Money, money, money..

FWIW, there is one company that was making a RA6 style front bumper. Quality needed some work but it looked good (black car below). Also, a SAP front extension and/or SAP recessed grilles are an option as well to spice the front end of the car up a bit.

I guess right now I feel like the car is a big car and the nose is a little too small. I wouldn't mind beefing it up some, which the Monaro conversion really doesn't do. The SAP extension or the RA6 inspired front bumper would help. I'd really like to get the RA6 style front bumper, but just worry about dropping the money on it, just to drop another $500-700 on fixing it and making it solid.

More messing around (first panel fixed, second panel with the RA6-style front bumper, then the SAP grilles and extension, full Monaro conversion, and finally another example of the Monaro conversion with no photoshopping and it's a local car and a real head turner)

keep it like it is...5.7 non ram air hoods look good with the monaro front but the ram air looks better with the GTO front.

the ra6 bumber is great but the back of the gto is fairly bland I like the ra6 kit how it makes it look so muscular. just like the dick harrell camaros look so hot with the wide body kit.

I also like the original look. I would say that the fog lights on the "new look" look cool.

I never liked the SAP grilles really... HOWEVER, the new DEEPER SAP replica grilles that one guy is making on LS1GTO painted satin black would look awesome and offer the change (non-lateral improvement) you are looking for
